Survey Results: How is Philip doing, Q1 2010

As discussed in the past posting, part of being a new kind of transparent company means that as a leader I will do an anonymous survey every quarter that asks everyone whether they want to keep me, and then report/trend those results.

The link to the first version of that is:

Obviously these are the earliest days.   Noone wants to fire me yet, and I can only go downhill from here, stats-wise.  Probably means both that we’re too small, and that I haven’t been aggressive enough to really piss anyone off yet.  :)

It probably means everyone wants to keep their jobs. I would give my boss high marks if I was ever asked to rate his job performance, even anonymously.

Perhaps, Sam, but then you nor your boss would really be gaining anything from the process. One of the major downfalls of company performance reviews is that they’re systematically structured to fail for precisely the reason you stated. It seems that if a system like this were in place to highlight positive performance on a regular basis, then constructive criticism would potentially be better received.
